Nice car all round except for the rear spoiler. It sticks out too much at the rear

I do not like the way a regular MY01 looks....but I've gotta say this one look very - almost in the DTS/CTS league.

That wing is very ugly, but it sorta suits the car, and makes for a very nice package.

2 thumbs up!

Looks V good Scott.
I definately want to go for the DRM grille next year. I think the spoiler looks good as a true WRC replica, but it's too HUGE for me to have one.
If it's finished, are you not considering prodrive/eibach springs, or Leda then?

Scott....it hasn't got the same panache as Dave's and Carolyn's fuglys.

Now...if your car had 300/500+, a dogbox and full rally livery I'd be interested.

Nathan

I suppose it was a bit of everything but the main culprets would have been the APS and ported headers.

The car was running slightly lean at the top which was good for power but not pistons so i decided to get a fuel controller to be on the safe side. my settings have about 10% extra fuel below 2000 then no extra fuel was needed between 2250 & 5250. Then from there it went from 1% to 15% at 7500

I have lost a little power at the top but peak is the same as before asnd torque is the same too. So my car is now running safe (no det, and not lean) with no power lost.

I will have to see what i get at the next PE rr day

Scott

Edited to say' full Scoobysport and possibly headers aswell would be fine'

Car does look good, best part about owning the car is doing what you like, and if it ruffles a few feathers so be it. Spoiler isnt my cup of tea, but its a nice package.
How much was the spoiler??? Does it rattle at all with the overhang?

Bruiser

The spoiler does'nt rattle at all, Its fixed on with 6 bolts and plenty of silicone and is now solid, its also alot lighter than the uk300 spoiler. I did have to seal all the way around the front because water just lies on the boot up to the thickness of the lip and i did'nt like the idea of a lot of water laying under it

As for price it cost me £1200 but it was through someone, through someone else then through wherever else as i've said before its a one-off and hopefully will stay that way I don't want to be too common

I bet its even more stunning when you see it for real.

Must admit I prefer colour coded headlights instead of the black surround.

Lovely job. It would be nice to see the scale of work you've done to it by showing what it looked like originally. It takes a lot of bottle to buy a stock MY01, which in my view is ugly as sin and transform it like you've done. The final product looks marvelous.

Hello Darran,

The covers fitted quite well, i just had to cut the bracket about a bit and cut the cover screw down because it was touching the lamp.

here's the picture you asked for

I hope its what you needed
