..for the love of God I was bored earlier today
anyway, firstly remove the plastic inserts obviously missing from this pic(pretend the grille is still in place tho)
to remove the centre part of the grille from the car you will need to push your hand down past the bonnet release catch and pull these tabs inwards and push outwards at the same time.
once the grille is out you now have access to the 2 screws holding the badge on,remove them and you have this.
carefully seperate the chrome surround and badge from its mount using some heat and a thin wedge of some sort(only held on by double-sided tape)
..and you should then have this
You can now rub the paint off the back of the badge using some thinners and fine wet'n dry paper
..and then paint it whatever colour you want
like sparkly red and silver for instance
looks like this fitted
..or with the 05 badge
not sure which I prefer, but I know the std blue colour didn't bode well with a white car
and the car in question
...4 months old and not yet covered 700 miles yet

just one thing jon, time it took to do the badge you could have racked up to that massive 4 digits on your odo and got rid of that running in oil drive the thing FFS!!
