Cheers boys

just fitted the crystal side lense's and silvertec bulbs all round, the front bulbs are a total nightmare to change, you have to go up through the wheel arch lining to replace the indicator bulbs

Looks good mate, did you say you changed the front indicator bulbs, I read that you have to take the front bumber of which I really cannot be arsed or have time to do. Did you take the wheel off and the whole inner arch, please explain as the tango bulbs are horrid!!!

Thanks
Arron

Hi arron

I managed to get to the bulb holders via the wheel arch, basically put the wheel on full lock to give some area to work, then "carefully" peel back the arch lining, this allowing you to insert your arm into the arch, the passenger side bulb was pretty straight forward, when the arch lining is peeled back, shine a torch up toward the front of the car and you will see the indicator holder at the front edge, turn "anti-clockwise" to release pull out bulb, replace with silvertec bulb, refit turning it clockwise to lock

Now the drivers side is a differant matter, the airbox is in your wing,so very very little room to work in here, but stick with it and it will come good in the end!

Richardf-

Jealousy is a cruel mistress also,i think you may struggle to fit your silvertec's,as you have large wrist's

Oh I was also going to say, it is easier just to pull the front lights out and change the bulbs rather than go in through the arch liner.

i can tell you that mate as i've driven both. the 2.5 doesn't FEEL as rabid, but has a much nicer spread of power. i think it's faster in the real world, though some might dispute this......get the PPP kit to unleash some potential and keep your warranty, the difference is phenomenal.

You not getting along with your o7 then elmer im a bit concerned that the 07 dosent have the raw driving experience as my 05sti does but ive heard that the ppp changes things especialy with the drive by wire throttle problem that 07 owners seem to be concerned about

hi buddy

scoobyparts supplied the crystal lense's at TOTB on sunday, they are just lenses, but they can supply the holders as well!

As said above, the 2.5 seems more "relaxed" in the real world,my03 sti use to rip your splean(?) in half on full take off,but this car has so much more torque

Defo the way forward, with that new ERH! "thing" coming soon from the scooby stable

RICHARDU-will fit them for ya at the carbrook meet or over the weekend, normal hourly rate apply's(cup of tea and a burger king )

I use a 12" x 3" plate on the front of mine. Fits almost perfrectly to the backing plate on the bumper. No plod bother me, well maybe that's because my local lot are just too fecking lazy and busy doing corrupt things to get bothered by me.
