Intercooler anyone??
Well with the car gone to Simpsons to have its new exhaust system made, the parts pile inevitably grows.
Todays delivery was my intercooler.
APS DR725
(Got for a steal from a guy in the US with only 1000 miles use on it )
Make no mistake guys, this thing is absolutely massive! The core alone without end tanks is 29" long, 9" high and a massive 4.5" thick!!
It weighs in pretty lardy too, if nothing else will help with the cars "turn in" PMSL!!
Its yet to be painted and the stainless pipework will get a polish. I also need to get my other bumper painted, que ABW
Enjoy

Dunno mate, i need to get my other bumper painted first.
Im going to leave it silver with the Mocom Racing logo in black in the centre. I wabnted to do it all black but having seen black coolers on black cars they always seem to look dirty to me. Something i dont quite like. Also if they get stone chipped they will look tatty.
So silver with a black logo it is

Silver on black works for me it's good to have some contrast
You will have to cut the largest hole in your front bumper possible to get that working to it's prime... it may pay to get a hold of a damaged bumper with little/no value to it then use it as a template, at least that way you can cut away as much as you like without worrying then transfer the measurments to your own happy days

Already 2 steps ahead buddy. I managed to source another Prodrive edition bumper a while back, so my original will stay in tact
Its WR blue at the mo but will be painted and trimmed for the FMIC. As soon as my car is back from Simpsons and the exhaust has been paid for i can concentrated on getting the bumper done and the cooler fitted.
Then a headers swap and turbo swap before my 2.5 is built.

Also as the core is still so new and ultimately in very nice condition i may aswell leave the stock silver powdercoat as is.

I have one of these on my Newage, and although the fit is good, there is some cutting and grinding needed. (On the Blobeye there is anyway).
Not quite so bad if you are taking the picture though.
But you can see the size of it.
What induction kit are you proposing to use with it?
