Hey guys,
I like Speedline rims so much I decided to get another set for my STI Type RA, but they're white... Not too sure which I prefer so thought I'd see what everyone thinks looks better on a white car. Cheers.
My old 97 JDM WRX with Gold Speedline's:

definetely gold!! but i think that real dark grey colour ( cant remember the exact name of it, begins with A though lol).. rims look great on white cars..
to be honest .. looks wise, i much prefer your old car! lol, sorry!! prefer the colour coded door handles, rear view mirrors, rear wing and rims!

Thanks drtchock, I also preferred the look of my old WRX buy I still have the same mods planned for my STI. I've only had it a couple of months, so slowly getting there.
I've been looking for a set of Prodrive wing mirror's but haven't been able to find any in New Zealand yet. May have to import a set from the UK.
Yeah, I also thought about Anthracite (Grey - Black) but still undecided...
I think I'll leave them white for a while as they'll probably look good with my red STI mudflaps I still have to fit.
Cheers.

No problem
Always did like to be different
If you're going for red mud flaps, I think the mix of white, gold and red will be a little too much personally. I also think the white fits well with the current styling of the car

Yeah, it's not an easy discision to make
.
I think I'll stick with white as I'm getting used to them. The only problem is how quickly they get dirty! You pretty much have to wash them after every drive!
I fitted my rear STI flaps today and they look alright... (I think). I'll be getting more bolts etc... and fitting the front this week sometime. I'm not happy about having to drill holes...

Ive got the same problem as well, same gold wheels as yourself. But ive decided on getting them done in white. Also bought a set of Ultralites in Anthracite. So when the mood takes me, I can change the wheels about.

Hey slipstream_uk, lucky for some hey...
ha ha...
Your car looks pretty mean, don't see many with a bodykit like that! There's not much else you can do to it. Did you get it like that or have you done everything yourself?

I've gotta say, that's one of the best white Classics i've seen. And it's also given me the nudge needed to make a decision on my own Scoob, should I sell or should I keep...I'm keeping it after seeing this example.
I'm a sucker for black wheel's, however yours looks great with both colours...the rear spoiler too....awesome look you have there mate
Nice one
Phil

pnbond007, thanks allot for the great comment. I'm glad I convinced you to keep yours!
This may sound a bit strange, but I saw pics of your car with the red mud flaps on quite a while ago and that's what made me want them!
It looks great! Makes me consider painting my rims black instead!

hey....nice one.
The red flaps are fitted to my own particular taste, their fitted equally however I haven't gone to the extreme of using a theodilte to get the bling effect...its a muscle car and bling aint good...which is why I prefer to choose black alloys, cause I think it all add's to an awesome look...in my view..
A discreet, stealthy, capable look is equally as attractive compared to those with all sorts of goodies bolted on.....which of course look great in their own sense.
Not much more to do to mine, other than AP rears, carbon mirrors, rear spoiler, P1 front splitter, and maybe level her out a little...oh and a FMC at some point in the future

Either as they both look good, but to start with I would leave them white so you don't have to spend money on having them powder coated. Spend it on another mod...lol

socko, great looking car. Looks good with and without the flaps!
Definatly prefer the wheels in white!
Skoobie Dhu, you're making it hard to decide... Gold looks mint on yours!
scoobyDAZZA, very nuice looking car! I prefer the white rims on yours. Do you still have the decals on?
tiny gsy, also a great looking car. The version 4 splitter makes it look allot better! Can't wait to get mine!
