Default winter wheels, drift event, other pictures (A LOT!)

haven't been here for a while so I thought I'd give a little update:

so that's how the car looks right now, got the MY02 WRX wheels, because the MY99's I've been using don't fit anymore (brembos..)

well actually it looks different again by now, because I'm in the process of getting the Swiss equivalent of an MOT.. and that's a b****...

already changed the brakes back to original and took off the mudflaps.. Thankfully I can "downgrade" the engine by just setting the AVC-R to "off".. (They didn't like the splitter, the rear wing, the wheels and the brake lines when I first tried for the MOT.. but they don't see the big turbo and everything else in there... )

also got that for the car recently:

plus here's some pictures I've taken:
trip to italy in summer: San Sebastiano 07

miles and miles and miles of great roads there!

surprise visitor at night:

from a lotus trackday: Lotus Trackday Tuttlingen

drift training at boxberg: Boxberg Drift & Fun 2007

not sure but I think I've already posted the HDR pictures once..?

Some HDR and Nightshots

I have the same question, what was the problem with the spoiler????

And what was the crack with the evo "estate", was it a lancer conversion?

The Evo estate was available a year or so ago. I think they were all grey imports. Bit more info here: Mitsubishi Evo | First Drives | Car Reviews | Auto Express

I saw a white one (like the one above) in Chamonix last year, it is much better on the flesh than the pics. Interesting car but I wish the back wasn't so ugly.

thanks!

as you might know from watching Top Gear or I don't know what Switzerland hates cars and about everything else that's fun..

so essentially every modification is illegal.. except if get it type-approved.. which costs a lot.. more than I can afford. So it's always a game of modifying so they won't see it.. fortunately there's so many imprezas driving around with big wings so there's no problems on the street. But the MOT people know a bit more about cars.. I actually had papers for the wing, but they said I'd have to prove the rated force at which the wing would let go..
which means i'm gonna get some other paper.
They didn't like the wheels either, because they're from the wrong MY.. I had already swapped the brembos for the standard brakes because there's no chance I was gonna get through with the brembos.
For the splitter I'll just need to prove that I've got it before june 2007, because that's when a new regulation came which more or less rules out modified bodyparts alltogether.. of course there's ways around that again.. it's all just really bloody complicated..

sorry about the front wings, I damaged them with my knees when I swapped the turbo.. and it doesn't yet bother me so much as to get them fixed..

the cusco's fantastic, i think!
can't really compare, because I only had H&R Stage 1 before, which was just simply rockhard.. good on a track but useless on the street. I have the cuscos on the softest setting now and it's perfect for the street, great controll but never any jumping around.. haven't had a chance to test it on track yet.

Evo wagon was officially made for a short period.. and only a few imported to europe. That white one's actually the only one I know of.. It belongs to the owner of Import Racing - Mitsubishi Evolution Evo Tuning and Service.. he also has two skylines and that red Evo VI that's on a few of my pictures.. that's got around 600 hp..
