Talking Intricate Designs Project Classic JDM Blog - Update 20-01-08

Here is my 1995 WRX JDM Import. It current has 97,000 k on, which is around 61,000 miles.

I know its a LONG LONG Way off some truely amazing examples on here, but hey, time and money situation etc...

Here you will see my new wheels of which I have chosen for my Classic. I did abit of Design OverTime over xmas to pay for them, so I think it was well worth it

Things are starting to develop slowly!!!, But I have intentions

As I am a FT & Freelance designer, I shall be including a decal livery at some point, advertising my services etc.., so my main theme is to go for gunmetal, black and red.

Along the line I am thinking of red mudflaps to compliment the graphics etc...

MODS TO COME:

STI5 Spoiler to be fitted in 10 days. (Cant wait, looks lost without 1)!!!!

I have some clear side and front indicators on the way.

FOG Covers with decals...

Next mods : Needs a service and JUN Front splitter.
The current ride height isnt suitable at present, but again, idea's down the line. (Any ideas on a suspension set-up)?

I choose these alloys as I really love the design and I think they are a very japanese/e look and motorsport look, of which I am extremely into.
The gun-metal works well with the black skirts etc.. and think it works well over all They are Rota Boost alloys.

OPINIONS GOOD OR BAD Always welcome

Thanks

Jon

nice wheels mate always been a fan of rota boosts myself, would look nice de spoilered

id personally go for a set of coilovers over a set of springs but all depends on how far your budget will allow otherwise a good quality set of springs will do the job

i wouldn't bother with coilovers, too harsh for $hitty UK road surface. Spring wise either Eibach (who make the PPP springs for Prodrive), which lower the car by around 25\30mm and are firmer but not too harsh (I run them). Or H&R springs which drop the car by approx 50mm, not used them so don't know how they drive.

Thanks for the advice, yea I was thinking coilovers was possibly over my budget anyway.

Would I need to change shox and springs?

for 40-50mm, i would go for the h&r springs, had them on my last scooby they were fine. shouldnt need to replace shocks either mate.

depends where you are based...although if you have some spring compressors its a fairly straight forward job
