Pic Request... New Age Sti alloys on Classics.
Who's running 17" new age sti alloys on a classic.... lets see them
Since having my Brembo's fitted I've lost my winter wheel option

Great thanks all.... looks like there are a few more classics running Brembo's than first meets the eye as well.
Out of curiousity I assume you have all had to put classic tyres on as well opposed to the new age one's that started life on these alloys ?

nope, no rubbing issues with standard sti5 suspension.
225/45/17

Just fitted mine today:
They are rubbing on the rear suspension struts - currently fitted with 224/45/17 tyres. Would fitting 215/45/17 tyres get rid of this rubbing? Does anyone else suffer from this problem? How did you solve it?

yea 225/45 are the wrong size for classics, 215s will be fine.

The original 16's Rob but they have long gone now... The sti one's seem to be the only standard subaru alloys that will fit over the brembo's but the trouble is finding a part worn set with classic tyres on them, they are nearly all new age sti size tyres.... What started off as a viable option looks a bit expensive now.

215x40 for 17's on a classic.

40 or 45's either will work, except speedo might misread a bit more than usual on 45's
