This is not crazy talk, like i said i dont want to argue with you. Look at more or less every article you can find and they are referred to canards. Do a search for photos of fighters with canards and the eurofighter always appears amongst various others. Now if you want me to go further into this i can give you many sources but it will spoil your thread, likewise if you want i can pm you them or your choice can post them on here. For a start, visit defencetalk.com try saying what your saying there LOL

I dont want to argue on this subject too much but let me tell you that with my little experience working at MBDA missile systems and the many defence sources they are referred to as Delta Canards more specifically. Even on the Eurofighter website they are referred to as Canards. Now im not saying your wrong in calling them Fore planes but do realise what your saying when you say they are NOT Canards
A few online references are below, now dont tell me they are all wrong lol
Eurofighter Typhoon - Design Features
Eurofighter Technology and Performance : Structure
Eurofighter Typhoon - Demon or Lemon?
The EuroFighter Typhoon
Air-Attack.com - Eurofighter Typhoon
Aerospaceweb.org | Aircraft Museum - Eurofighter Typhoon
Eurofighter-2000 Typhoon Fighters Air Systems Defense News | Defence Forum | Military Pictures | Weapons - DefenceTalk

And web-sites are always 100% correct
I would tend to side with the guys that actually work on these planes as they would know the correct terms to use for the components and you have only had "little" experience with missile systems.
Eurofighter - Missile systems, to me thats like chalk and cheese.
but what do I know, I only work with diesel engines

I dont care if JENGA built the bloomen thing, go on any defence forum and they would say the same. Its a Canard, and its really embarrasing that a guy who apparently works on the aircraft is denying this. As I have said, no one is saying he is wrong in calling them a fore plane but saying that they are not called Canards is silly.
Let me quote from their OFFICIAL site "The "delta canard" design shape of the aircraft is driven by a need for...."
"The instability of the aircraft is derived from the position of a theoretical “pressure point” on the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. This is calculated from the contribution to lift from each of the aircraft components (the wings, the canards, fuselage etc). "
"The Eurofighter Typhoon's full authority, quadruplex, digital, fly-by-wire, Flight Control System (FCS), in combination with its canard/delta wing configuration airframe delivers high supersonic manoeuvrability and subsonic agility"
Now you are telling me that I am incorrect. This is no ordinary site mate, i think it would take someone more than just an engineer, more like someone much higher ranking to verify this information before it is posted on their website. Now to deny that which is clean and clear is just plain stupid. JENGA knows i am right but wont admit to it.
Likewise dont just join in to make yourself known for no reason, provide some information if your going to side someone.
Regarding Eurofighter and Missile systems as chalk and cheese. Well let me go a little further into how important the missile systems and the general structure of the fighter are. For a start the Canards or Fore planes whatever you want to call them are very relevant to the delivery of any missile system loaded onto the aircraft. My direct input on this project would be declarative computing on the missiles

JENGA, I await your reply on the above mate.
Also Id just like to add, i feel really bad that i have more or less screwed a thread which had some fantastic shots above so on that part id like to appologise.

Thats me Jenga
Maybe we should start a "canards or fore plane" thread
I find it strange that the "official" web sites that you state call them canards yet BAE Systems, that actually manufactured the components, call them fore planes, and yes, that statement is from their official web site.
Some say tomateto some say tomato

Btw the above quotes are from Eurofighter Typhoon - Nothing Comes Close which has been made for the sole purpose of "showing off" the fighter, its design, technologies, deliveries.
O and here we have Boosh now also claiming they are not called Canards. Friggin hell i didnt know the RAF employs people with such lack of knowledge or shall i say i never knew the RAF ill trains its people.
The facts have been put forward ladies, and i shall reiterate that no one is denying they are called fore planes however, its so laughable that you guys are saying they are not canards. Its like saying to someone you have got rims on your car not wheels
![Cuckoo](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cuckoo.gif)
Anyhoo, ill let you guys enjoy the the fore planes lol

Muhahahaha
On the RAF site it has also mentioned Canards so you mr Boosh are wrong lol
RAF - Typhoon recognition
Also do remember the Eurofighter was developed by a consortium. One of the members is EADS and I quote from their website;
"The Eurofighter is a supersonic aircraft with a delta-canard configuration, optimized for air superiority and with air-surface capacity. "
Link: EADS N.V. - EADS CASA delivers the first right wing of the Eurofighter series
Please do do not take my replies as anything more than light humour
but mr Boosh and Rob, ahahahaha
ok sillyness over, they are referred to as canards so in future remember not to argue with anyone who is canard crazed
