Update after pothole damage
About a month ago i had the unfortunate event of hitting a pothole, causing two of my alloys to crack in half, therefore having to take the car off the road for a few weeks.
Saturday morning i managed to source some 18" Gold Alloys from a bloke on ebay, i contacted him before the auction ended and paid £100 for these with tyres. They're not in the best condition, and gold was the last colour i wanted, but as they were cheap and i needed to get the car back on the road, i couldn't say no to such an offer.
(As he sold them to me 12 hours before the auction ended, i had to put a ridiculous amount to guarantee i'd win the alloys - turned out he would've sold them for £205 if i bought them through the auction - bargain!)
Here's some before and after pics:
Before (17"):
Pothole damage:
After (18"):
I'll either be getting the alloys refurbed and sprayed anthracite, or buy a complete new stronger set of alloys, in the future.
Thanks for looking!

Jesus never seen an alloy do that without substantial suspension damage too.
What make alloys where they?
I think the new ones look better anyway even like them in gold

They were Aerospeed RSGT's, i couldn't believe it when i saw them on the night, i was driving under 30mph as well!
I went back up there and couldn't find a pothole, the only thing i could see that might've caused the damage was a huge gap between the road and the bank...

Not surprised, I'll be doing my best to persuade people not to buy them in future.... Shouldn't take too much persuasion after seeing the state of mine at the minute either!
