Smile I've been Swiss'd

I called SwissTony last night and said to him I was going to clean my engine with fairy liquid and a sponge He wasn't impressed with that idea and told me to bring the car over

I've just finished fitting a T34 turbo to my car & a stage 3 so the engine bay got quite grubby.

Swiss covered the wings and windscreen to protect from overspray. Engine needed to be warm, but since I drove it here in my normal fashion, it was warm !!! We had to wait for it to cool down.

He then sprayed on some APC, some Meguiars Super Degreaser and got attacking with the brushes. Started to come up nice already. Left it for 10 mins then once we had made sure any bits were covered in foil, time to hose it all down. Looked a lot better so I mopped up while he did all my greying and manky plastic trim on the car. Started up the car and let it run for a while to dry the bay. Then sprayed on the Aerospace 303 sealant, wiped and then cleaned up any overspray.

His photos because I forgot to put the battery back in my camera
Before

After

Don't worry the amal valve isn't staying there I just need a bracket and some new vacuum hose to relocate it I just need to remove the red paint from the hose to the throttle body now

You are very welcome Paul
Must say the engine wasnt THAT dirty, I was more concerned that it would be treated to a eastern european style clean if I didnt intervene

I always go for a drive in my car after spraying the Aerospace 303 on to seal it with heat. Normally takes 10-15 mins of normal driving to do the job. Not the way he drives..it was sealed in about 300 yards

Paul even let me drive this monster of a cossie. Amazing to see the difference between this and a scoob. Wheels spun in first gear, gearshift required some serious Popeye welly and it was proper old skool. But great

10-15 minutes of normal driving Sod that I prefer my way

Glad you had a drive, I can't believe you hadn't driven one before. They have to be driven to be appreciated, they certainly aren't a car for girls They are quite brutal and a proper hooligan car especially with that power Notice how I didn't throw Zoe the keys

Aye, proper brutal power . I am surprised you let me drive it, but cheers it was certainly an eye opener. Saying that, I dont think I would drive it often, because the scoob is more forgiving and suits my 'big girl's' style laconic driving style. In the cossie I would be in a ditch by the afternoon

Stuff like Tesco Daisy yellow stuff. Sounds fancy but it isnt, just a good cleaning fluid. You need to water it down though

It's a 2 wheel drive running 350bhp

It's got a k&n panel filter, modified airbox, dark green injectors (can't remember the cc), 3 bar map sensor, pace rs500 intercooler, exhaust system, t34 turbo off of a later cosworth which is bigger than the t3, -31 actuator & a map for those modifications

Other than that it's got uprated disks & pads on the front, koni adjustable rear shocks & it's lowered ever so slightly on AVO springs.

Externally the car looks like this

It's the new kit that has made it faster

I don't know anything that drives like a Cosworth, they give you a real buzz I still want a 3 door.
