Default the waiting is over (what a sound)

well after a long search and endless trawling of the net, here it is my GENOME BACKBOX

ARRIVED TODAY AWAITING FITMENT

1 HOUR LATER

im very happy with the outcome, it looks and sounds the bo**ocks, i definatly reccomend it.

(ive already started to remove the STI GENOME writing on the backbox,as i wated it to look plain and i dont own an STi either . but i need some paint remover to finish it off)

just sent you a pm mate, ide prefer to take off the writing (might leave the genome) as for proving its the real deal the STi GENOME is inprinted on the tail pipe then coloured so its always visable.

i wont be selling it on anyway

glad it turned up ok mate, i'll be honest that the sale sounded a little iffy to me with the same pic on the add, but i'm just a suspicious b'stard at the best of times
pleased it worked out, it really is a cracking piece of kit isn't it? do a tunnel run or get a mate to do a flypast, just an awesome sound

the writing can be a bit of a marmite thing, mines staying as original, but i can appreciate the clean look aswell. does look very tidy

yeah it had me thinking to,seen as they used the same pic,but it all worked out.
i do like the look of the genome without the writing (a-la elmerfudpukker) also seen as i dont drive an STi i dont want to dress it up like one if you know what i mean.

So are these as loud/louder than the Blitz Nur Spec R or even the Afterburner Vortex? Can't really tell how loud it is from the vid, but it does sound nice.

Also, what diameter is the tip of the backbox?

yep, and fair play for doing so. seen a few wrx*sti* and it just smacks of sticking an 'M' badge on an old 318. each to their own but it's not my bag.

not meaning to jump into your thread mate (and hopefully you'll agree) but i find this exhaust is great because it somehow does quiet and loud when you want it and this is something i've searched hi and low for (and got thru a shed load of backboxes!) personally i don't think it's as loud as a blitz or afterburner, but on the other hand they are just loud all the bloody time and that's what did my head in with all the loud ones i've had

anyways, i've taken up too much space on your thread already mate enjoy

nah never gonna be as loud. the nur spec-r is just pure evil, whereas the sound track from the genome is perfection. the noise level, sound quality itself, amplification. coming from someone who had a blitz system on his scoob which was obnoxiously loud, id have loved a genome backbox for my classic, just for the unrivalled quality.

yep youve hit the nail on the head mate. its a perfect backbox, as youve put " its quiet then loud when you want it to be"

cheers guys for all the comments
