Thinking of doing this, not sure if it might look a bit "Barry" though, has anyone got any pics of this done, or any opinions come to that.

It's a big ol' butt to be left so bare. I had mine like this....
...but preferred it with some detail so changed 'S U B A R U' for....
Some leave the STi badge instead.

thought about removing the lock and the wing, but just went hollywood in the end. i would still live to remove the wing and recess the brake light into the boot lid, or maybe inside the rear screen, but will probably replace the car by the time i get round to actually being able to do any more to it!
i was going to remove the lock to put my reverse cam in the same hole, but just fitted it underneath the number plate in the end

not sure if it;s the same on the 04, but on my bugeye, all i would need to do is undo the "ring" nut on the inside of the boot lid to remove the lock. not quite sure without further investigation what i would then to do with the lock, but to sort out the hole; tape a little bit of mesh over the inside of the hole or some fibreglass (tape just to hold in position), then fill from the outside. robert's your mother's brother

Thanks for your thought guys, my mind is made up now, I will be getting a new bootlid next week and will be starting my new look then.
The car will need to be dropped as well I think.

Cookie, I de-badged mine over a year ago, it looks a bit bland with nothing on the boot lid and the STi spoiler so I stuck a couple of small stickers on it
Never thought about de-locking it
