To start with I really wanted a Subaru but at 17 it wasn’t going to happen so I bought this instead.

It is a saxo vtr 1.6 8v,it was a quick little car and I loved it.

The thing is I couldn't wait till I was old enough to buy a Subaru and by the time I was 20 that is exactly what I did and here she is

Most will know it is a wrx 300.

I bought the car when it was 2 months old and with a 1000 miles on the clock, the day I picked it up it was a 160 mile round trip and I think I didn't stop smiling once.

So the day has come after 3 years ownership and 25,000 miles later it's time to trade the old girl in.

This wasn’t easy as the Subaru was so good at every thing also with a little one my options weren't as big as I wanted.

The car had to have 4 doors and isofix so the simple solution was to go and have a look at the new shape sti.

That's what I did, lot of people have slated the looks of the new shape but I for one have always liked it.

The test drive was fine but I didn't feel the same way as I did with either the saxo or the 300.

So after alot of time thinking and searching this came up at the local bmw dealers.
I new that they had good press,4 doors,isofix and they drove fine due to the fact my mum has a 330d.

So this is what I drove home in, the smile was back and I can't fault the car in a single way.

One day I will be back in a Subaru but for now diesel power will do!

Nice car... a big change from the Scooby.
My mate has a 3-series... so many toys in there to play with
