Default 1997 WRX STI Type R

New around here so i thought i'd put a few picture that where taken last night.

Pretty much standard until this Friday when the new fmic and downpipe gets fitted. Then a Unichip and boost controller fitted the Friday after. Hope yo all like.

Sweet! I really like debadge classics...they look so clean.
Lowering it a tab would look even sweeter

What make/size rims are they?

just remind me... as been outta the scoob world for over 4 years now.....
Its a MY97 Sti Type R.... so is it a sti4 ... with a sti6 spoiler and sti5/6 front bumper?

Phil you are totally right. It's a V4 and a face life from bumper, bonnet and lights.

Boobiman the wheels are Advan RCII's. Different but i like them.

MY97 is STI 3, MY98 is STI 4. Difference is the interior and the turbo (vf23/24).

yup. Slightly slower spool with a stronger top end. Did prefer the responsiveness of the vf24 in my old sti4 though.

Apexi Power FC ECU mapped by Andy Forrest and Jolly Green Monster.
Rolling road print out for 326bhp from East Coast Customs in Lisburn.
DCCD controller diff which is standard and a Cusco uprated rear diff.
Whiteline Anti lift kit
Whiteline drop links front and back
Whiteline Diff lock Kit
Whiteline Anti roll bar at the front.
Whiteline plus bushes
XYZ Coilovers from AI Autosport
Geometry setup by Ali burrows Motorsport
STI rear diff guard
Rota Formula rims in 18*8 with Falken 452s with spare 5th Rim.
K-Sport 8 pot front brakes. Calipers and discs.

Interior

Design 2 OMP Seats
OMP Corsica Steering wheel with snap off boss.
STI 8 Rear Seats
Flocked dash and Gauge pod.
Prosport oil temp, Oil pressure and boost gauge mounted where the heating vents used to be.
Pioneer Screen with Alpine Type R components, Kenwood sub powered by a Alpine V5 4 channel.



This is a well looked after Type R that has never wanted for anything.

95,000KM on the car and 35000 Miles on the engine which was purchased from Euro Auto Salvage in NI. Engine work carried out by SMD Motorsport.
This car is located in Northern Ireland 20 minutes from the docks and Belfast City Airport.

The car will come with a full MOT and 4 months tax.
