hey mate, first thing, welcome to the forum, second thing is a bit of a nag but please type correctly as slang text isnt really liked too much lol, your sti is only going to be a wr1 if it is in wr1 colour, best bet would be to post some pics up of it on here, i know its a bit noisy but how much did you pay for it as most sti wr1's fetch around the 14+k mark. hope this helps you

If not, no you dont have a WR1.

In essence a WR1 is a tuned STI. As in the picture, it only comes in the light blue colour, the front grille is different, there are no fog light covers, it has PFF7 18" alloys and the engine is pushing out 320PS / 420Nm Torque plus other changes too.

A dead give away is the WR1 badges throughout the car, like the ones next to the side indicators!

...think you have a standard STI...!

WR1s have WR1 badges on, you also get a WR1 plaque on the centre console...the plastic bit by your left knee...the leg you use to press the clutch... And they come in gheybar blue

 

**** me, mine isn't a WR1... it doesn't have a plaque on the centre console by my left knee... fractionally above my left boot with "L" written on it.

Fairly obviously you are new to all this, unfortunately it seems you are new to a bit of decipherable diction as well. It seems you have time and knowledge to spell your name correctly, please attempt some other words.

My advice would be to go away and learn to spell a (little) bit, then come back armed with a) a pic of your car. b) a spell checking facility.

If it's a genuine UK 04 car and its the ice blue colour as in the pic. then it's a WR1. Any other colour and it's an STI. Be aware there are some euro import STI's in that colour though, generally known as Petter Solberg replicas.

Don't go on the tax disc holder or WR1 keyring though, as quite a few people seem to sell these on for silly money on Ebay.
