Set me back £800 (incl recovery fees). Kiplings rebuilt the head, 14 out the valves where bent so they replaced al 16, fitted a new head set and cambelt kit. They waived about 7 hours worth of Labour charges but wouldn't accept liability.

I'm currently in the position of Renault saying the nut wouldn't come loose by itself and Kiplings saying that they have no reason to touch it during a cambelt service. I'm waiting for my sister to call me and let me know what the likelihood is off winning anything in the small claims court and if so how soon it would happen. If I can't sort it in 7-weeks then I can't go to court as I'm out of the Country then until Christmas.

At least it's fixed she's not driving the scooby anymore, hence back to playing

Ironically, today I met the guy who bought the seats I was on my way to collect when the scenic broke down. The seller thought I was wasting his time
