I have no problems with my number plate being visible (Blue Skyline).

After all, they are seen by thousands of people everyday. Hardly discreet

What's the big deal with the number plate showing?
It's not as if you have a sign on the car with your home address is it
Am I missing something or is there a genuine reason why people would want their reg plate hidden, I'm curious.

 

SEveral years ago, there was a spate of cr thieves who would see a number plate and apply for the log book before stealing your car.

I seem to remember reading now though, that if someone applies for your log book and you are still the current reg'd owner, that they contact you if this has happened.

 

I am sure that is no longer possible and anyway they have still got to find out where you live.
