Pic's of my new '09 WRX grill. It looks so much better than the old sport grill I had.

Saloon looks nice mate.

Good to see Subaru has seen sense and will be reintroducing a slaoon to the UK market in the near future.

Saloons all the way.

Has that been officially confirmed?

I heard the other day that no Impreza's have been imported since 2008, all the new2010/2011 models have been here a few years and are just being retro fitted with new bumpers, grilles etc?

Don't know how much truth is in that but with ethe exchange rate it could be tru?

I highly doubt they will convert older cars. We will get the hatch and saloon here in the U.S. The U.K. is also in line for this same model. Here's some pic's of our STi and WRX saloons.

STi * *In the color I will have!!!!!!!!

WRX *

Not too keen on the new saloon to be honest, well not in STI spec, think it looks better in WRX guise!

Maybe I'm just used to the front being on a hatch!

Mind you I did not like the hatch to start with when I had my saloon and now look what I drive! LOL

The saloon is a significant improvement over the hatch and the STI looks even nicer.

Its obvious that Subaru realised they dropped a boll-ock by introducing only a hatch in the UK.

I appreciate that some people like them but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have always preferred a saloon over all shapes of car even mid engined cars ever since I was a young boy.

I'll tell you something
All in my opinion of course.

I've had Impreza's from new since 1998
I bought a 330S towards the start of the year and by far its the best of the lot.
Even and dare I say it, but when required, I can fit substancially more stuff in the boot too
I had to do something last week which would have taken 2 runs in the MY05 STI
1 run in the hatch - and there was room for even more too

There's certainly a market for a hatch but its nice that Subaru are giving us a choice.

Hatches will always be more practical I suppose though.

And on the left we have the blue contender a GB270 with 25,000 miles on the clock priced at £13,500

On the right we have the new gun an STI priced at near enough £30,000

Hmm, which one to choose.

Ummmm, I choose the one on the right because it looks way better than the pig-nosed one on the left with the cheap grill inserts! What a silly question.

Ummmm, I really wouldnt, not if it was my money. If they were equally priced sure Id take the new one but priced as they are, not a chance.

The rear arch and small window on the silver saloon just look so wrong

I think that saloon makes the hatch look good!

I think I prefer the hatch to the saloon as well, I quite like the S-GT JDM, especially considering its cheaper tax and twin scroll turbo. I was thinking the same about the rear small window, everything just looks so awkward.

Considering the time Subaru have had and that every other manufacturer seems to be able to progress from their previous models design Im just really disappointed with what they've come up with. More like a progressive side step than a step forward.

Looks much better

The STI saloon has an evo-esque look about it, but I do think it would sell well over here

Seeing them side by side like this makes me more than ever aware of the fact that the Hawkeye (and in my opinion the blobeye) are by far the better looking compared to the recent offerings.

The hawkeye looks positively lean and mean compared to the new saloon. And that back arch is disastrous designing.

That back arch is shocking. There are however quite a few aspects of the car I do like but for a 2011 design costing as much as it will I am so unimpressed and so disappointed.

I actually prefer the new wrx to the new sti... the STI just looks "boxy" and a bit ott aftermarket bodykit..shame

Lots of orders for 2011 spec C's then (I'm assuming they'll be getting the wrx wing)
