Thumbs up New here.. First scooby :)

Heyy Just got my first scooby a few days ago so thought id sign up! Was abit of an impulse buy after not having a car for the last 6 months but have wanted one for years so just went for it as it came up! Finding it stupidly quick as my last car was a 1.6 Astra..

Its a WRX Classic, Full Cobra exhaust, decat, apexi induction, dump valve. And some other small mods here and there. Anyone know what BHP these are standard and what i could expect now?

Anyway here's a couple of pics

Just had a quick look and its the my93 model.. So 240bhp. Also noticed the ecu is fitted with a scoobyecu at the same time though, anyone shed any light on the benefits/gains i would be getting from this chip if any?

If you've got those bits and a scoobyecu then you'll have around 280-300bhp (all being well). Mine made 300bhp with similar mods

That's not right is it ???? The 93WRX's had more power than the 95-96's because the 93;s had the TD05 on, I thought they were 260 out of the box ?

Very nice looking car you have there chap, drive safe and enjoy her

Yeah timmy is right as far as I know I have a JDM 1995 (although Vin says 1996), with TD05 and my VIN says 260 apparently.

VERY nice car fella!! Any pics of the engine bay???

yep - thats like my old scoob a 1993 wrx, had a newer Z4 ecu so instead of 240 std it was 260 (from a v2 wrx.....) then i had the scoobyecu chip & i got 317 bhp @ prosport, stockport on their rollers (not that a newer ecu makes a difference as the chip is the new map, so does not matter what ecu you have aslong as its a 4 pin type for the scoobyecu chip can be installed)

so my 1996 v2 (n reg i have now) IS 260 bhp std z4 ecu, & this is about to be sent to major_sarcasm to have a scooby ecu chip fitted. Not only does it make the car more powerful, it also drives & pulls better through the gears & the real bonus is that it will run on super unleaded alone without the need for octane booster
