I would do the map before you do any more mods, what you have there is probably a recipe for disaster if your not monitoring the det levels on the engine (possably why it had an engine rebuild before?) as it will just blow the engine to bits when you rag her and you dont need a 3k bill for a new engine rebuild now do you?
(JDM cars from MY99's are designed to run on 100 ron fuel as a MINIMUM, the version 5 & 6 STI's, along with the P1, are reknown for blowing up, mainly down to the maf sensor and det from bad/incorrect grade fuel).
Your next mod should be a KS3 and a remap, that way you can see whats happening under the bonnet.

You can lock the diff, there are situations you will use it, ie snow, but you can play with the diff also, having it all the way back isnt the way forward, you can move it up and down to change the ammount of torque distribution from front to rear (people say its power, its not, its the torque), and there is a very nice bit of info on the tech area about how to use it properly

Lovely Car!
I will be getting rid of my BG5 GT-B Legacy for one of those soon.
Is the performance increase a noticeable one from your B4, similar power i know, but much lighter so assume its much quicker in the real world!?
I am split between the dolphin grey and black... favouring black, but yours does look spot
on! Humm, decisions, lol

Cool grey is the only colour!
Take Tonys advice on the remap...believe me I speak from experience!! No worse feeling than first hearing the dreaded big end rattle.
Keep a tight eye on MAF's also.
The dccd is great craic especially when left open & on a wet road
