Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key in the ignition?
If not, then you have a pump/wiring issue.

If it does - check your plugs are wet with fuel. If so, you have an ignition issue. Could be coil packs, plugs etc...

Just read your title, the fuel pump is under the rear seat. Drivers side. Pull the back of the seat down and its under a plate.

Mate your in the wrong section this is for pictures . While i am here what year car? If its around 98>2000 model and fitted with the sigma 30 Subaru alarm it could be the immobiliser not turning off . Have you moved the car? If not try pushing it down the road from the petrol station waiting 30mins or so then try there is a common prob with these alarms doing this

When I first got my WRX it wouldn't start when hot, turned out to be the crankshaft sensor. Do a search apparently its a common fault.
