Right Guy's
The original hard resin black/green 'i' badge was rubbed down with wire wool a few months ago and painted, loads of times with Cerise airfix paint. It looked damn good until it went on the car, you could see the double sided pad through the badge. Hence me buying the badge below. I know its not the "original" badge at £30 from GGR, but I'd say its a damn good alternative from .
I bought the STi oval badge in Cerise from Scoobyparts last week. I assumed it to be the pink 'i' badge, as my car had the black/green 'i' badge. However this is what arrived.........
Different I know but for £7.50 inc p&p I reckon its pretty neat. Soft resin graphic fits the 75mm x 45mm oval space with ease on the classic grill. It sticks well to the grille also, so a good buy IMHO.

Ian,
Its a standard badgeyou take it off the car, pull off all the double sided black stickey foam, then use wet n dry to rub all the original paint off the rear of the badge .Care should be taken not to rub inside the stars as you want to leave them chrome .When youve finished rubbing it down the badge will be clear plastic except for the stars. Then pick your paint and paint it on the rear face, easy. If you want glitter effect, paint with a clear lacqeur, then sprinkle your chosen glitter onto it whilst its still wet, then coat it in lacqeur
again to seal it.leave to harden the put a smear of clear syllicone
sealer on your grill and set new badged on to it "en voiller"One gay badgeI learnt of this when we all used to do it on our RS2000 ford badges were the same type of thing

lol @Yoza.
I was gutted...but then I wake up before him at weekends so I reckon I can get it done without him noticing for at least a couple of weeks, after all, his never acutally cleaned the car - that's my job. Bets on the amount of time he takes to notice?! <cue evil laughter>
I think they look great
