My new Cars - Evo and Scooby
Well here is the offending vehicle -
Before I start I also bought my old Classic turbo back and picked up a 2.5 STI engine for it the same day as buying the Evo (New Years Eve) so going to build a stripped out road monster out of the classic and do nothing with the Evo lol
After going to view 13 Scoobys and not finding one that ticked all the boxes i spotted this.......
I was not a Evo fan until I drove a couple and thought daaaam I like that and with the Impreza issues I thought WHY not.
Its actually lovely to drive.
What would I rather - A Scooby or an Evo to drive.....Its far to close to choose, I have owned 5 Scoobys and this is my first Evo...They are totally different to eachother but are the same if that makes sense. I find the Evo puts the power down different, And with this having 400bhp its crazy lol
I am in the process of putting pics of the Classic Turbo project up aswell

I have been told???? straight line the evo is better however the scoob is raw with none of the help or tech that the evo has... Hence always had scoobs. I will drive an evo at some point to decide for myself. Think parts are a far bit more for the evo as well?
How wrong am I then mate, guess you would be a better judge than me.

I am painting the wheels tomorrow I think if i have the time.
Not keen on the lip. Aye the torque is crazy.
The handling feels sharper than my old Scooby which was set up very well but its much and such the same in my eyes.
My Classic project I am going for 500bhp :-)

Had the same bud but in gunmetal ....careful with the front hubs bearings are weak , don't get suckered into genuine parts....front hubs are identical to a gto.
If you ever pop the gearbox drop me a pm I have a 6 speed sat here
Apart from the above....they are reliable if kept on or under 400
I ****ing hate the money pits nowadays.....determined not to get another this year

Thanks lads, managed to buy my old classic back with a shagged engine and needing ALOT of work but its going to be a project.
All this overtime and working ALL the time is paying off ever so slightly.
Had the Evo out the back roads in the snow and it was superb :-)
Clutch is taking some getting used to.

nice car mate, looks sweet as it is.
the ayc problem is a bit of myth can usually be fixed with a flush btw.
the main differences are reliability, evos are pretty bullet proof scoobies are not, they feel more expensive cos they are lol, and the ayc is good 99% of the time but it can catch you out as in you have to be careful when and if you opp lock, get it wrong and it will ****** and throw you off the road but thats only if you are pushing too hard, the grip is unbelievable

That makes no sense to me..
I'm saying 408bhp as it has a printout from Wallace for it......
I'm going to go back to the Rollers in a couple of weeks as apparently it has different injectors now
I got my old classic back for pennys as its in a hell of a state, was 300bhp when i sold it and 0bhp now as its got a mega hole in the block....
