Default Show Me Your Cold Air Feeds :-)

Hi everyone I'm interested in seeing cold air set ups from fog cover to induction kits, mainly interested in the cone and pipe quality plus routing etc through the wing and cone fixing in the dog light covers.

Cheers
Simon

I would've thought if you're going to that much effort for a cold air feed it would be greatly beneficial to get an enclosed filter? I.E a Pipercross Viper or BMC CDA airbox to name a couple?

Thanks gent's some good set ups above, it gives me a few ideas.
I'm thinking more in line of dropping a cone into the fog cover and running a flexi up through, Banny is that one of Frayz's plastic inserts you have there by chance that's the direction I'm looking to go in

I bought one of these cones ebay link and painted it in black plastidip. Fits well, doesn't look too big or too small IMO, and with the plastidip coating stones should bounce off without chipping the paintwork.

Great link that's a bit more like it, good tip about the plasticdip, powder coating could be another option maybe.

Be carefull which pipe you fit from the front bumper as not all will give good airflow and ones I have fitted have become damaged without knowing so therefore of no use than if none were fitted . Also be carefull of filters in the wing as some tend to hit puddles more than others.

Agree with Steve above about the 'in the wing' style being too long so they catch water etc.

I've got this one:

There's loads more options on the site and their products are top quality mate

I agree there Steve, I'm looking at getting one of the RCM set up's I know they are not the cheapest shall we say but this is not an area to compromise in I feel. I need to find some quality flexi pipe now that's going to fix onto one of Frayz's plastic inserts in the inner wing. Good point about the pipe work collapsing I'll make sure i keep that in mind when looking at what's available.

Great thanks for the link I'll have a good look at the site.

Banny that's the way to do it in the wing for sure very clean and tidy finish, nothing worse than going to all the effort and having the feed pipe hanging into the bay, great option.
