Just Picked Up My New Baby
#2
Absolutely Love it. Picked it up from those nice fellas at Ashburtons.
I still cant believe ive got it. Done 500 miles so far and iam getting about 25mpg so far which seems quite good really.
I just cant stop smiling for obvious reasons.
I wont type to much as I fear i might get my head bitten off chewed up and spat out. Is it just me , or are the scoobynet replies becoming all too agressive and negative.
Anyway I love my car and no one can tarnish that fact, or can they ? LOL

Gotta say it looks absolutely gorgeous . I didn't like the look of the WRX when it first came out, and preferred the look of my MY97, but now have definitely fallen in love with the STI and am picking mine up next week .
Interesting to see what the STI reflectors look like on it...I've opted for white indicators and reflectors as I don't like the amber ones.
Enjoy!

Nice one
Ranging from £23K to £27.5K depending on Parallel import/UK dealer £2K more or Standard or £1.5k more Prodrive(only cosmetic differences)
Tony
Ps there are differences between Parrell import dealer but not sure what.

These Digital pics where taken with a FUJI FINEPIX 4900.
Well if you buy a Fuji Heavy Industries car may aswell buy a Fuji Camera.
If anyone wants to post some pics of there own babies feel free + I`d love to see em.
I traded in my scoob silver 5dr for the STI for 16,000 but i do hope she goes to a good home. I`ll post some pics of her.

Jimmy WRX,
Sorry should have meant there are some differences between cars supplied by parrellel importers and main dealers.

PDF,
Great pics and lovely, just lovely. I pick mine up in the next two weeks and just can't wait, sleep, eat, etc.
No wonder you are made up. Did the wait kill you as well

Don't worry Dazz, time will come and then I will be very jealous of how much it costs you to "fill 'er up"

Hi guys thx for all the nice compliments.
The lower lip/rear high spoilers(STI v6) were bought from
www.mrtrally.com.au/ + very impressed with the delivery and packing of items + you can track their journey too.
Also the prices were very good in comparison to genuine STI parts which as you probably know, are just plain silly.
I got the Carbon STIv7 reflectors from www.Grahamgoode.com they cost 65-70 quid i think. Its alot of money for what amounts too 2 stickers but it does set off the lights nicely on the blue + (I just couldn`t live with those orange reflectors)
The wait was bareable as I`d look at pics and brochures + evo mag articles every night( which I still do occasionally at night LOL), I also had Ashburtons demonstrator for close to 24hrs evaluation which kept me smiling for 2weeks of the 5 waiting.
I also have to say that I wasnt overly keen on the looks of the new Impreza WRX. especially the standard headlights and the orange reflectors. + having test driven the standard WRX I was not smitten with the feel and the fact that it lacked the same raw edge my Silver 5dr scoob had.
But when the STI came along, the lights looked less bug like + I knew about Carbon Reflectors + its handles much better than my old scoob + its faster obviously, so i just had to get it. Oh the other reason was the WR blue which I just fell in love with but the Black also look very nice too. So at present the looks have grown on me more and more, its seems more curvacious( if this word exists).
Its very frustrating keeping below the 4,000 revs range. I`ve set the Buzzer and the SELF DESTRUCT LIGHT LOL to 3.5 revs just to be on the safe side for running in, but there are times when you just have to go to 5000(for a millesecondx2 so far) to make that quick overtaking pass. So at present my Buzzer reminds me of mother telling me off for being a very very bad boy and then giving me a firm but fair smack LOL.
Iam doing some more miles tomorrow so that 1,000 will be gone fairly soon.
Ok I`d better log off, thx again for all the nice feedback and tell me your thoughts on the new WRX in comparison with the beloved my99 scoobs.

To all concerned in this thread about "Parllel" imports. Does grey import ring a bell? Basically, Jap spec 280bhp beasts that don't conform to UK transport Dept. specifications. No extra anti-rust coating, alarm or immobiliser, multi-point fuel injectors and that bloody cat which strangles the engine to our Type UK spec of 265BHP.
Sorry F I sounded a bit up front, have had rather a Pete Tong Day!!
