Default detailing ford escort mk2 mexico

Had the pleasure of having this escort mexico in for a refresh, not been used by the owner for a bit and was last put away covered in crap( i get all the best jobs). This car had spent 30 years off the road till 2009 where it re- apered and has only covered a genuine 28k

It was in for a single stage machine polish and a whole lot of polishing including the underside engine bay in boot and door shuts plus other odd jobs, I also fitted the original style dealer stickers and tax disk holder hope you enjoy as much as i have had doing it.

on arrival

so oto the cleaning of this beast

so its on my back and scrub

so inside, time for some claying and some machine polishing

wheel nuts polished at same time

time to polish the underside

re riveted with genuine ford rivets

interior

after

and now on to some finished shots

and away it goes

thanks for looking

craig

Is it not a bit dodgy being under the car with just a jack though?

Holy Moses! If the queen gave out detailing honours...

Top work mate, so nice to see these old and forgotten cars come out of the barns and sheds to be used again!

I had a flat front RS2000 which I used for Road Rallies in the early 1980s.

Seeing that mkII Mexico brought back memories, especially of how simple the engineering was compared to todays cars.
