This is soon after I bought her

WRC mudflaps one of my first buys

Next was a HKS dump valve and TMIC cover

Carbon strutbrace

2004 STI suspension and I did a full overhaul and added grease nipples, also fitted new CRN discs and PAGID pads allround.

HKS copy box box and Hayward & Scott up pipe fitted

Replaced tired grey carpet with nice blue one

Added short-shifter at same time

Blobeye STI scoop

Then reconditioned 4 Pots

Finally Ali radiator and silicone hose kit

Also had new top spec windscreen (thank you insurance)

Looks awesome, great job. Not a fan of the blob scoop tbh but everything else looks great.
Nice to see tasteful mods rather than the usual tacky wrc graphics

What are the benefits of fitting an ali rad to a road car?

All looking good except the scoop - I'm not a fan as I think the blob scoops are too angular to suit the bug

Better cancel my full set of scooby-doo stickers then................. seriously cheers chap, only really went for the blobeye scoop for the extra cooling after reading what a API engineer said the std WRX being useless.

I went for the ali rad because they are better quality being fully welded rather than pressed plastic end tanks. I've not noticed any difference but at the end of the day its the thermostat that controls running temp. I did put 9 litres of coolant in rather than 7 so the rad core is definitely bigger

Sounds like you researched your mods before doing them.
What's your next planned mod?

Agree with the effectiveness of the WRX one - I was fortunate enough to lay my hands on a bug STI one which is quite a bit bigger, but then ended up going down the FMIC route anyway

Cos the wife uses it everyday I'm not (at the moment) interested in big power mods. I'm happy with the exterior, interior and engine bay so I'd like to detail the underneath and maybe uprate the bushes and ARB's.
