Default My 1/4 run from weekend 10.80

Was running in the pro street drag series at stratford at the weekend.
Time was 10.80 @ 137mph ,lot more in the car as 60ft was 1.70 .
Getting all the diffs changed soon so should get my 60ft times down to 1.5 .Thinking about changing gearbox to a hawkeye box seems to be better on the strip than the u.k 2004 6 speed.

It's all about experience with 1/4 runs, the more you do the better you get!
Looks like you are getting there no doubt.
What's the spec mate?

Just shows you how difficult fast drag times really are. You've got a beautifully built car mate with monster power and still shows its not easy.

I'm sure you'll get that low 10 or even break into the 9s one day. As long as you're still enjoying it.

Great stuff

Great stuff
Thanks Frayz .
There will always be someone faster ,but as you say ,its a great day out and i really enjoy it,its all about having fun.
Problem is you put so much money into these cars ,i always hold back a bit as i dont want to break it
I will keep going until i hit that 9 second run,it may take me a few more years but its all part off the fun

Great run Buddy

Your words are right Marti. You need to drive the thing like your trying to break it to get the best out of it,

I know what you mean about the costs and reluctant to rag the thing. I too was like that until Olly told me to drive it like I just stole it at Snetters, ......... so I did.

I then soon realised where all the money had gone.

Great to see the times are still tumbling mate Seems ages ago now that we had to send over the little follow-up announcement to JPM after your feature came out that you'd cracked in to the 10's!

Will give you a shout when I'm back at Pod Marty - join us mate. We can swap cars if you want!

Not easy as it seems. Plenty of 600+ classics which aren't doing the times they should be! Marty's on the right path and doing very well.

Harder than it looks this drag racing ,well it is for me anyway.
Probably will not run again until i get the new diffs in the car, which should help the launch .
