Why go to the bother of reverse inlet and not converting to FE turbo?

A few reasons 1. I've saved about 1-2 foot of pipe work, looks better IMO. And lastly quite a rare thing on v1's with it needing cut and welded.

The gains are not guna me massive but every gain is a good gain plus the inlet has been smoothed and had a lot of wholes n brackets taken off so looks nicer

Wrap looks better, but, I think you're going to regret making the intercooler pipe without having the parts for tensioning the alternator belt.

Really, we looking at the same picture, Dean?

Alternator is sitting as far down as it can, and the pipe for your chav trumpet is clearly wedged between the alternator and the dipstick.

Would have been better if you'd had the parts for tensioning the belt, so you can get it somewhere near, and then making the intercooler pipe.

That way you can see where the belt will be and eliminate any chance of it rubbing.

I can see what micky means mate, the pipe looks wedged in proper tight at it's lowest point so when you need to adjust the alternator to tension the belt it's not gonna have any free movement to do so.

I think you need to understand this a forum full of idiots. If you cant take comments good or bad then you shouldnt post up pics especialy if they dont look good.

It's not finished as said in title I agree full of idiots just showing where I've started etc as you've got to start somewhere I've got a lot of hours to do on it.

I dont mind " positive critism" as I expect it as everyone is different and rightly so but to just plain insult someone/something isn't very respectful tbhif I see a car on here I'm not keen on I'd say not my cup of tea but looks well etc ..

It's always the same people on forums with no pic of any kind and just purposely go on forums to cause arguments

But hey ho u get them but he will eat his words once finished and everything's polished

I'm sure it says FINISHED in your thread...but never mind..

I thought i'd show you what a V1 reversed inlet manifold looks like when done with a bit of care...By the way this is mine...

Yeah well we all don't live at home with mammy or spend every penny on our cars I prefer to spend on me kids or house ..

N read underneath it see pipe work that's it . I'm sure I've seen that pic on another forum under a different user name??? Funny tht????

We do the best with what we had and money available

Personally still think your obnoxious you could of gave some ideas or hint n tips but no doubt you didn't do it yourself and paid someone to do it!!! This is the first attempt maybe I have got a few things to iron out that's why it's ongoing still don't understand why you commented the way u did there was no point at all in your comment othe than to be obnoxious and rude .... Not all of us have thousands and thousands to plough into our cars n considering I'm doin it in a budget cnt see the problem n let's face it tw Benifits are going to be exactly the same as yours

it does look a mess tbh.
possibly powder coat would look better.
i do think you gonna have problems tensioning the belt too.
dont get so defensive its the internet....
if you dont want negative opinions the safest way is to not post.

I don't mind negative comments at all as its to everyone's taste but being rude is just not the way forward why not give advise instead of insults??? But that seems to be the norm on this forum if you don't like it insult it as I said its not finished and the camera angle wasn't the best there's about 2-3 inches away from the pipe to ajust tensioner .

I just don't see why certain people on forums constantly have to cause arguments and insulting instead of offering advise or hints how to make better as I've never done this before and funny how when I made a post asking for advise this idiot guiness need offered his ???!!! But jumped on the band wagon ti insult n people wonder why forums gain a bad name or people stop going on or don't bother

Then you come out with this.

Where? I've highlighted it, just in case.

Are you just leaving the alternator flopping about?
