what tyres would people recommend on them, at the min it has michelin pilot sports, but are quite low to the mark on 2 so will get them changed over winter, i like the Re070 for grip on my 17's but they dont make them in 235/40/18

Not sure if Toyo TR1 or T1R come in that size, but wouldn't bother with them anyway, the walls are not that strong and promote body roll. Got 4 on my 07 STI Spec D, and won't be getting them again.

Perhaps Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2? From Camskill.co.uk

Vredestein get good write up's on here too.
Camskill are great for tyres, all the choices you will ever need, great prices and good service.

I've had Vredestein Sessanta on my Classic, and now got the same on my Hawkeye. Can't fault them in all conditions and they are a lot cheaper that Goodyear etc. I bought mine from here http://www.clickontyres.com/

Cheers,

Ian.

Thanks for the tyre help just wondering what size should be on them as normally on 18" it's 235-35 not 40 sidewall!

Thanks Dan

Echo the tyre suggestion above, I hear great reviews about them so far and no negatives.

As for tyre size What did subaru and prodrive supply them with, that would be my suggestion as the r n d that would of gone into the tyre size choice would be more than enough reason for me to stick with it as if it was good enough for them then..........

I think you maybe right there Dan, from memory with my p1 I couldn't find 40's at the time so went 35's could I tell the difference hmmm not sure but I would go with what they fitted as standard S I'm sure prodrive would of spent time testing the ideal tyre size
