Finally got my gauges today, was going for some cheaper Splitfire ones, but had difficulty in sourcing them. Changed and went for the Autometer Ultra Lite's. Gauge's sourced from Mook on here (http://www.mjdesignsuk.com)

Housing was made from the existing bit, removed air vents, bit of plasticard, some glue and cutting and bob's your uncle. I don't have air-con (sap's the power and weigh's too much...OK I'm a cheapskate ) and I don't use the centre air vents so I thought sod it, lets put something useful in there!

The pod in the pics isn't fitted properly yet as I need to do all the wiring. That should be some fun reserved for this bank holiday weekend All this just in time for summer, when hopefully we will move, and then I will be selling the car

Here's the pics anyway, comments and questions are always welcome, even if it's not up to your tastes

View from the back seats

View from (as near as I could get to) driver's head position

'Bout bloody time aswell

Looks very proffesional (sp) Well done for sorting it.

I reckon the only reason you did is because you possess Hanslowesque levels of patience

When can you show me how to do me own AFM?

Should be free over the bank holiday dude so we can razz down Maplin and buy you some components and solder it up then if you want?

Remember, I haven't fitted them properly yet....so that'll take another couple of months

I like em

What size gauges are they? I fancy 3 more defi's if they would fit, 52's to sit under the GGR pod I've got in my tray above...
How cool would 6 gauges look

Mega, they are 52mm gauges so should suit you (sir )

Six gauges.... Then get a board of toggle switches and you have yourself a rally car

Can't remember off the top of my head where it was from (will post later tonight and let you know).

You should be able to get it here though http://www.slatersplastikard.com/Pla...kard_plain.htm. The stuff I used was the 2mm thick stuff in black.

Edit : Just noticed they haven't got the 2mm stuff in black on there I'll check when I get home as I have the details of my order and the website where I got it from. Service was top notch from them as well

Steve

Just had a brain storm and checked my online credit card statements and found the shop

It was from http://www.weavermodels.co.uk. They should be able to get you what you need

Here's the actual catalogue page http://www.weavermodels.co.uk/acatal...sheet_447.html

I like the free red wires that hang down below the gauges that they give you .... looks loads more professional like that.....

Nice one - just remember to watch THE ROAD rather than the gauges!!!!
