You try getting a Ver9 JDM Widetrack Sti with documented history & £3k spent on in a year for less than £10k. In the last 6 months I have seen only 2 JDM Hawks come up & no Ver9 JDM Sti's at all. There have been a few dodgy JDM Ver 8's for approx £8k.
Its all about supply & demand and buyers perceptions on particular models of cars. I sold my standard-ish Ver6 Type R less than a year ago for £7,750

Seems a great car Ricky...............but having a spec list like that there are plenty that could go wrong if not maintaned religously!!
Plus its got the short ratio 5 speed which will mean very high rpm on the motorways, so if you think your JDM is bad in 6th imagine what this is like in 5th !!
But then its your money so spend it as you please.
I would say your better off spending a bit more on yours, getting upto say 400 - 420 bhp and then you can start enjoying it all over again.
Mel
p.s. stop wasting time, get your car sorted and book yourself up for Snetterton!!!

Yeah the Ayc pumps and bits inside the diff and gearbox are a bit fragile and expensive, as well as parts in general are expensive. Best bet would be an Evo 9 GT or RS, (no ayc and a mechanical different) but still more expensive to run and insure than e.g. a Hawk Spec C.........I feel another Hawkeye Spec may be the ticket Joh, .....nothing like going back to my younger days sweetheart in my middling years!

I seem to remember reading a TI mag with your lovely Spec C featured and you commented on an MR 360 Evo 9 that you test drove an you didn't say much in the way of anything good about it an that was why you settled for the Subaru, am i mistaken?
P.S surely if an Evo doesn't have AYC the it's handling wouldn't be upto much? I mean they ain't exactly featherweights or weight balanced like a Scoob (Not saying a subaru is light). Can anyone correct me?
If i were you i'd buy either a White Spec C hawk or a Grey MR.

The Evo9 GT has the much stronger mechanical diffs as found on the RS versions and I'm sure there is some other diff trickery at work instead of the AYC. Pretty robust compared to the AYC on MR' s. Out of the box I prefered a STD Spec C over a STD Evo 9 but here we're talking about a 600 bhp forged big build Evo 9 for approx £16k!! Great bang for your buck as so much cheaper than trying to do that yourself. Also we can't get around the fact the the evo 4g63 iron block can easily take over 500bhp with just uprated rods. Saying all that I'd probably still go back and get another Spec C!
