Karting B'ham Wheels

Karting B'ham Wheels
Rite guys after the last event we had there i thought i should sort something out again. Was thinking of some time towards the end of june or some time in july. once i have some sort of numbers i will speak to wheels to get some dates that are aviable. i think the same format as last time for all those who came last time, this being the wheels 60, teams of 2 in the twin engine karts. price for this will be £49 per person.
lets see some names of people then, i will keep an up dated list at the top so we all know. cheers, simon

Guys
As I do a fair bit of Karting (In a league!!) Can I suggest that it is run like we do it?
Generally at these places (regardless of what the organisors say) the Karts aren't very even (I have never been to a circuit where they are)
The way we run is to get in your Kart for qualifying, qualify for the race and start in the position of fastest first as you would expect, but split the race into two witha short break in between. Then for race two the guy that finished first starts in the kart that came last in race 1, and then the second place finisher starts in the second to last kart in race 1 and so on.
This then evens the whole race out nicely and gives any one who had a dog in race 1 to actaully have a decent race two and do some overtaking.
We have found that this has evened the whole series up and stops people haveing the feeling of being disappointed with the event.
We have tries other senarios as well, but the above works best. This works for a circuit being indoor or outdoor.
The organisors gernerally don't want to do this but 10 people paying £49 a pop usually swings it !!
In fact at least two of the circuits we use regularly have now adopted this as part of their menu and the others we visit (Total of about 8) will all do it
Just a thought to consider

Steve..... what happens when the organisers swap the kart numbers from one kart to another if they have to withdraw one for mechnical tinkering?? Good idea tho......
Si - likely to miss these dates, hols in first part of July.............
I didnt trust the wording on the van name "....... Brakes" so waited until it was safe to cross
