Not scare mongering but we have had Derbyshire constabulary with us this afternoon to discuss the large amounts of scoobs currently being stolen in the Derbyshire area.





Over twelve imprezas have been stolen in Derbyshire since January this year



They have been stolen by smashing through kitchen windows then stealing the keys. (Something most of us are already aware of).





sadly though lately the new trend is to stake out supermarket/shopping centre car parks then following you home waiting for you to start unloading the car they then run into your house hoping you have just popped the keys on a worktop somewhere (I must admit to doing this!) they then run out of your house pushing you out of the way and off with your pride and joy.







Now we did say to the police that we hear a lot of this anyway and did not want to wind the Subaru community up by posting their comments but we were told this problem has escalated so much so that a least one car a month is being stolen and they have categorically asked us to post this on scoobynet and other forums on their behalf.

just keep em peeled and be aware.

This is it mate what can they do other than give out a crime number, it seems as if these days prevention cannot be funded or given priority, but hey what can they do? give every scooby owner his personal copper watching their car 24hours a day! Or is the easy fix build more prisons and give 10 years for car theft, sounds good to me!
