Default Birmingham Tunnel Run 2009

Was driving through the Queensway tunnels the other night (with the windows down ) and remembered what a laugh the last tunnel run we had in December was. It was my first “meet” as well and was good meeting a few of you.

Anyhoo I think another one should be on the agenda now that the weather’s starting to pick up. I hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes by proposing this?

So who’d be up for this?

Tom

Alright mate, yeah basically what it says on the tin. I asked the same question before the last one we had and I got:

"A tunnel run is when its us sad subaru owners go through tunnels to appreciate the boxer sound/grumble of our cars...........bloody good fun imho"

Hope that clears it up

yeah man what awesome idea.
I often stop under bridges etc just to hear the scoob burble echo lol

Just one thing though. long decent tunnels are few and far between so the only place i could imagine such an event taking place would be somewhere like brum ringroad with loads of tunnels.
only trouble is tho is speed limit tends to be 40mph around that ring road.

I always head home this way after a sunday night at hams hall.

Im good for tho as long as its localish like brum.

The tunnels we went through last time were the Queensway tunnels on the A38 (Bristol Road) which are decent. The speed limit is still 40 but hey y'know...

A lot of the guys are off to the Ring this weekend, but I'm sure something will be organised in Brum in the near futre.

Like Maydew says above, if you need a tunnel run fix, the London one is well worth the drive down.
