Just rang Privilege to ask for two months cover for my insurance abroad.
I pay £156 a year to insure the car fully comp.
They have just asked me for £97 for two months!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd rather take the risk of just having 3rd party cover.
I am certain insurers just pluck a figure out of the air....witness the nonsense when I wanted insurance for a third car, and with zero ncd the cost was only £20 more than with nine years' ncd!!
They must think folk are daft.

I'd genuinely agree with that. When we recently bought our Subaru, which is a hatch STi, with PPP and a 26 year old female (6 years no claims) as the main driver, parked on a road at night and public car park during the day, we got 'best' quotes from the price comparison sites between £591 and north of £2600. Go figure.
