Emin, 50, grinned as she left the auction after the piece was sold.

I had to larf listening to Jeremy vine yesterday, he was talking to some women about her Rolf Harris pictures. She had a couple I think one of which she put in a box an the other one she explained it wasn't about the value she'd lost she liked it anyway.

Jeremy asked her what she'd was /would be doing with it.

She defiantly said it was staying on the wall and Jeremy inquired what the background noise was

She was clearly removing it from display

Priceless.

Despite my advancing years I like to keep an open mind about art. But I fail completely to understand this. I'd pay £50 to get it taken to the skip.

Is there anyone on here who can shed some light on this f,ucking rubbish?

I have no idea why anyone would want it. Where would you put it? Isn't it just an eye sore?

I wonder how they transport it. If they move it do they have to make sure all the crap is put back in exactly the same place afterwards or not? If they don't (have to put it back in the same place) does that effect the value? Possibly it's all glued down?

50 big ones for the idea, only, of turning your light bulbs on and off every half minute

Seems cheap in comparison

I can't see why it wasn't snapped up lol

it is that idiot Saatchi's fault -- he paid shed loads for it in the first place, therefore giving it a value... (bit like all the other crap he has bought and given a value..)
