got a important birthday coming up for a family member and was wondering if anyone knew of a place where we could hire a sports car for the day. like a ferrari or something. looked on ebay quickly, just wondering if anybody has done this before??

It's a double edged sword. The company's insurance costs will be massive. The way that they reduce it is to have a big excess. Otherwise they'd have to increase the hire cost to cover their increased insurance premiums. Damned if you do damned if you don't

A good choice with the Gallardo though, I went out in a white convertible and it was a rush.
