That's bloody outrageous. Being 'an equal opportunity employer' is all well and good but surely this steps way over the line? If you crashed your car because your arm fell off (imagine the insurance report on that one) I would expect the police to take a pretty dim view.
I wonder how many of the passengers would have stayed on board had they been told before take-off that the pilot had an arm that might fall off? Scary.

You should try a landing with Ryan Air - you could be forgiven for thinking the pilots were detached from their senses as the plane landed.
It worries me a lot more when the pilot speaks before takeoff and can barely string together a few sentances to welcome you aboard his aircraft and introduce Sarah and Mandy who will be taking care of you in the cabin today. I can never tell if it is through tiredness, hungover-ness or fear of public speaking!!
Kidding by the way - I love flying, take off, landing and lightening are the most enjoyable bits!
