Default true or false?

wots your first reactionto this question;

a male hippo can weigh more than every player on a american foot ball pitch comnbined?true or false

my first reaction was no of course not; false, a hippo is just like a big pig just a bit fatter. WRONG... I watch American footy some times so knew their are 11 players on either team. there pretty big guys aswell. so no way can one hippo weigh more than 22 beefy guys... can it!!!!!!!!! probably as much as 2 or 3 .WRONG,....

a quite big male hippo weigh 2500 kg, 5500 lbs, 393 stones
an average American foot baller player weigh an average 110 kgs, 242 lbs, 17.3 stones

do the maths

110kg x 22 = 2420 kgs
quiet big hippo weigh 2500 kgs
hippo weigh more than every player on the pitch combined

mad isn't it!
the only land mammal bigger than a hippo is a elaphant
the biggest bear is polar bear,biggest one ever is 1000kgs

now for the maddest bit.the biggest hippo ever was 15 feet long and weighs 4500kg, 9900 lbs, oVER 700 STONE
that's 2 really tall basket ball players standing on top of each other, that's how long it was.
so there not just like a big pig lol

biggest American footy player ever was 410 lbs

biggest hippo 9900 divide by biggest player 410 = 24, so biggest hippo still weigh more than every player on the pitch even if every player on the pitch was the biggest player ever

That is why they need to spend most of their time in water. Also hippos can run faster than most of the American football squad

They also have very dense bones and walk underwater rather than swim.

They are responsible for more human deaths than all the other 'killer' animals in Africa put together. They also don't swim, mostly walking along the bottom. Apparently.

scary,

we had trip in small paddle craft on Lake Naivasha (Kenya)- the boat handler got quite close to them - I was quite apprehensive as I was under no illusion how dangerous these creatures are

Compared to the other boring, religious, garbage posts that make up 99% of threads on here then this thread actually made me smile a little and did not make me want to slap the OP lol

Default wots your first reactionto this question;

My first reaction was of course "what is American football?", closely followed by "obesity in male hippos is threatening to bring the entire NHS crashing down in a heap, we must introduce a tax on sweet sugary things immediately".

They aren't that bad. You can keep one as an indoors pet:

The OP is obviously a script writer for the old 'Fast Show'. For instance, did you know that two squirrels and a rabbit can easily duff up a badger?
