Default Calling all Cooks Stock Pots

Guys what size Stock Pot should i buy, i want to be able to boil Ham Joints, chicken bones for stock etc...

7L or 9L ?

WIll 9 be too big or is 7 too small

help me

What fits in your oven easily? (allowing for space above for spuds etc)

If it's just for you then 7L. If it's for the family then 9L; as my wife says "bigger is better".

Seriously, I'd buy the 9L if it will fit in the oven.

Ive gone with the 7.2L as other was 9.5L and was prob too big for oven. I mainly boil Hams in them with Coke for that sweet ham taste. and used to use my Dads pressure cooker which was tight.. at 6L so adding another 1.2 should i say should be ok...

9.5 was the sweet spot but as you say it may be a tad too big for my single oven..thanks Gents

If you haven't got one, I'd recommend a slow cooker. They are ace.

I prefer leaving them on while I'm out rather than the oven.
