Hypnodisc was awsome.Flying debris & carnage everywhere.
On the other hand my other favourite was Razor.Stunning piece of engineering & a unbelievably powerful hydrolic fang that appeared to be able to pierce any substance known to man.
Can't wait.I just hope they don't dumb it down or go all girly with tame rules & regulations.

Used to love watching Robot Wars when I was a kid. I expect all the house robots will get an updated makeover with new and better technology available. My favourites were Razor, Hypnodisc, Wheelie big cheese, Pussycat and Chaos 2.

I was thinking that just before I read your post, that 'bot caused some impressive carnage.
I have a pile of old flywheels in the scrap steel skip that would make a ideal "hypnodisc"

Chaos 2 was good and always battled hard. Just hope the owner's voice has finally broke.
Phillipa Forresta was the icing on the cake though

Ooooh ooooh do it. Sharpen up the teeth on the ring gear then mount it on the biggest angle grinder you can find and have fun.
What's the worse than can happen?

I got front row seats and it was fantastic. It was a good job there was strong netting around the battle area, bits were flying all over!

Loved the engineering ideas. Some thought good defence was best, others sledgehammer breaking power. But the one that seemed to have it all was Razor. Beatific design, fast, agile, steel piercing capacity and self righting. Clever chaps all of them

Love Robot Wars! Have seen a few of the robots up close and was amazed at how big they are, you see them on TV and assume they are a lot smaller.
Razor and Chaos II were my favourites. Now to find 2 electric lawnmower engines, those old pram wheels and.......
