Not bad.
One question that struck me that should have been asked on the show is if the bike had the same level of development, investment and expenditure, would it have been a closer match.
I mean just looking the engines....F1 car, pre-heat for at least several hours before starting, use external starter to crank it, cycle through various operational tests before setting off.
Bike....press the start button.
F1 car: Proportional braking systems, with servo assistance and bias control front-rear. Bike: One lever for front, one pedal for rear and body weight.
Although road bike can have a single pedal/single lever linked braking systems but I guess thats banned in motoGP.
.....I could go on

It wasn't last year's car..it was a fair bit older. Think it was a
Either way it definitely was a non-turbo era car - you can clearly hear that its not. Or it had the non-turbo engine fitted (its not unknown for f1 teams to swap engines about in their older cars)

Yes, it was the previous 'gen'-engined car - i.e. the normally aspirated 2.4 V8.
So pre-2014... I'm guessing it was the 2013 iteration?

I agree.
I'm sure it would have been much closer had they used a highly developed and specialised MotoGP bike, instead of what is basically a modified version of the road bike you can buy from the showroom.

Someone mentioned earlier if the car had traction control or not, one of the mechanics asked DC if he wanted any traction dialled in before they did the final full laps of silverstone (to which he said yes please).
Anyone else notice on the first test of standing 1/4 the F1 car had full wets on a dry track. Had supersoft slicks on for the brake test.

Watched it earlier
It was good and had some laughs, when DC shook hands and winced and 'shook his hand out' afterwards
They were slower than I expected on the 1/4 mile, 10.2 and 10.4 @ 160mph, some scoobies are faster than that
