Literally Getting Away With Murder!

Literally Getting Away With Murder!
I asked a local company to give me a quote for a new roof and some render, the dad and 2 sons turned up and had a look, then gave me a quote (one son 'Paul' was chatting to one of my neighbours). Two weeks later one of the sons 'Paul Neatby' knocked on my door and said 'my dad charges a lot, I'll do the render for £150'. I thought bargain. He did my render (and did a good job). He then did some work for my 80 year old neighbour, he had a lot to do and was doing a good job.
We live at the bottom of a quite cul-de-sac with very nosey neighbours
Then, one day he said he had seen someone in my neighbours garden and chased them off (highly doubtful), then he said he dropped of some tower scaffolding and came back the next day and it had been stolen (impossible). My wife was in all day and never heard him drop this 'tower scaffold' off and we slept with the windows open and never heard anyone pinch this 'tower scaffold' (can anyone move a dismantled tower scaffold without making a noise? )
He gave a price for the job, but would ask for £30 or £40 a day, luckily the house owner is switched on and kept a record of money given.
Then my neighbour went on holiday for a week and got burgled
When he got home Paul was waiting for him to see 'what work wanted doing next?'. The police turned up and asked Paul how he thought they had got in. Paul explained in detail how they 'might have taken this beading off, lifted this window panel, climbed in and unlocked the back door with the key that was hung up near by'
A few weeks later there was a murder in a nearby town http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-35413021
Paul Neatby had killed his neighbour because he wouldn't give him £20 for drugs! He went home and confessed to his girlfriend 'I think I've killed him!', and 'I had him in a 'rear naked choke'. The coronor said 'significant bruising to the neck, like being choked from behind'. His girlfriend testified against him and told them everything.
He has been in court for the last 2 weeks and I found out the verdict today
Not guilty of murder
Not guilty of manslaughter
Guilty of robbing £20 - 18 month sentence
What have you got to do to get found guilty of killing someone??????
Breaking the speed limit and someone else crashing their own car = 5 years. But confessing to killing someone = 0 years!!!!
I will go on record and say 'he will either commit GBH or will kill someone else in the future'
We are worried he will come back and my neighbour is sh1tting himself incase he comes back onto our street
I hope the jury and judge can sleep at night, I know our street won't be able to now
Wheres the justice???

He appears to be a compulsive liar - and what he tells his girlfriend and what he tells the police in interview may be 2 different things.
It may also be proven that at the time of the death he was somewhere else.

You may well be right but you need to be a bit careful with what you say on a public forum
To recover in a libel or slander suit, the plaintiff must show evidence of four elements: that the defendant conveyed a defamatory message; that the material was published, meaning that it was conveyed to someone other than the plaintiff; that the plaintiff could be identified as the person referred to in the defamatory material; and that the plaintiff suffered some injury to his or her reputation as a result of the communication

Why?
If he comes on our street again he will be nailed to a wall with a Paslode!
He's not big or hard, just picks on vunerable people
His girlfriend got caught pretending to work for 'cancer research' and trying to get bank details from old peoples bungalows

He hasn't got the ***** to do anything, he's a coward. He only picks on vunerable people that wouldn't be able to fight back
Picking on a 50 year old alcoholic with breathing problems, the bloke wouldn't give him another £20 that [Paul] kept taking off him every week. Paul got angry and got him in a rear naked choke. In court it couldn't be proved 100% that that action caused his death due to previous breathing problems. It was proved that Paul had him in a headlock and he confessed to his partner that he 'thought he'd killed him'
