Screwfix ain't what it used to be.
In times gone by, I'd not bother looking anywhere eldsefor most DIY stuff.
Nowadays, most power tools can be had FAR cheaper on line.
And Friday, we wanted some M16 x 40 bolts, washers and nuts. Screw fix price, £37.03 for 50
Bought at Bapps locally, £15, same quantity.
I don't think they have been the cheapest since selling up to Kingfisher group. Their prices now seem to be almost on a par with B&Q.

Prices have gone up. They aren't always the cheapest. It seems a lot of these larger companies purposely undercut the market to price a lot of the independent merchants out of business. Now that the independents are few and far between the larger companies have price fixed the market.
