Default Fuel companies fleecing drivers again.

Diesel at 12p a litre dearer than petrol, when it's cost price is 4p LESS per litre than petrol.

What the flying fek? So not only are diesel drivers conned by Lying Liebour into buying diesel cars, seeing their investment bottom out, now they are punished to the tune of and extra £8 into the thieving fuel company's pockets for each tankfull.

And what's being done/said?

Nowt...because diesel drivers are eco-terrorists.

Yet it MUST be impacting on prices of everything, due to delivery costs.

The vast majority of the costs at the pump are fuel duties (which vary depending on the type of fuel) and VAT (calculated on top of said duties), all of which is set by and goes into the pockets of the government - currently those nice Tory toffs who prefer to keep corporate taxes and direct taxation low, then claw it back by indirect taxation on consumers!

So the fuel companies are not getting any extra for diesel over petrol, but the government is! The duty on diesel is simply higher than for petrol!

Also, don't forget a liter of diesel will get you further than a liter of petrol, so even if the diesel costs you more, you're cost per mile will still most likely be less with a diesel.

What a pair of utter wnakers, especially Mr Fukcwit above.

You lot really need to do a bit of research. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...30.IE2KGXc-EmM
The duty on diesel is the same as that on petrol. Yet we are the ONLY country in Europe whose diesel is dearer than it's petrol...and by a substantial amount.

So...toddle off back to crying about Brexit, girls.

Did you ever stop to consider that every other country in the EU has lower duty on diesel than petrol except for Belgium which had the same duty on both fuel typesA? Also the cost of producing diesel increased significantly when ultra low sulphur diesel was introduced!

So why is it over 4p a litre CHEAPER to produce than petrol?

I see you have gone on another tack now.

God, you establishment types, I could fleece you if I was government and you'd not only ACCEPT it, you'd love it.

You really are sad.

Oh the irony, do a bit of research yourself instead of crying like all old duffers that the world is so unfair to you. Diesel is more expensive because of demand, like most goods. Get a petrol vehicle or just enjoy the fact that you are still getting more miles per gallon, it's not hard. All you ever do is whine, go and enjoy the your life instead of moaning about every ****ing thing under the sun.
