I would recommend the Fuji Finepix 2600 for this money. Really an excellent camera and easy to use.
I bought one for my wife and was 240 from DABS, but I managed to get for 200 and also bought a 128MB compact flash card for an extra 40quid.
I have a Canon Powershot G1 and it isnt any better, although the resolution spec is higher and it cost me 800quid with a 340MB micr drive included. (16 months ago)

Thanks guys.
We'd sort of decided on a Sony P31, but Jessops were sold out, so we're still looking. Would it be worth forking out a few more quid to get optical zoom?
RevengeIsSweet - can you give me some more details please:
What model, is it batteries or recharge pack, what level of zoom etc?
Cheers,
Mike.
