Question

Evenin' all!

New to the board - live in Oxford.

Want to buy a radar detector - split between the Snooper (which I have seen in action and am impressed) or the Beltronics, which is recommended by the review on UKspeedtraps.co.uk

Any current user reviews? Who's got one themselves?

Anyone used both?

Did a search but couldn't really find a comprehensive comparison..?

Cheers in advance,

Stu

Being a Gifford I forgot to add that it's the Snooper S5 and the Beltronics Euro 550 models I mean.

Bel 550 is slightly more sensitive so gives a slightly earlier warning and is more flexible with switching on/off of specific bands but Snooper S5 is not far behind and is cheaper - the 550 is the better unit but they are both meant to be two of the best. I was looking to get one of these two but put it on hold now because the Blackspot Interactive Road Angel looks so good and is not much more expensive.

Hope this helps.

the road angel is a gps device which means it is superior with regard to static speedtraps, also the chaps at www.radar-detectors-uk.com reckon they can link a laser jammer straight into it. They are doing the deal also on jammers at the moment.

What part of Oxford are you from? Are you the guy that owns an M-reg WRX in Summertown by any chance?
