A long shot maybe, but I'm looking for a good quality diving / underwater shot to use on a website I'm producing. I'd like at least 800x600 if possible, failing that I could chop around a 640x480.
This is the kinda thing I'm after.

Stock photography is beyond the budget of the client, so either a free image or a private individual who would be willing to grant permission would be ideal.
It's to replace the ocean and sky banner here: http://www.diveride.com/new.asp
Thanks!

You could try an email to this guy, who is a poster on a digital photography forum I follow
.
He might give you permission to use one of his photos for an attribution next to it.
e.g. something like one of the images on:

..and his contact details
http://echeng.com/contact.html
PS sometimes his web site seems rather slow....
